 Yahoo! Another amazing Hall of Doors book!

 Ypsilon and The Plague Doctor is an action-packed steampunk zombie science-fantasy. (Yeah, you read that right!) I can guarantee you've never read anything like this before.

I don't know what goes on in Mr. Chopchinski's head, but it seems to be a strange and terrifying place. The monsters he has created for the world machine remind me a bit of Night Watch/Day Watch in that it's just a different kind of horror that you don't typically see in an American written novel (Night Watch is, I believe, written by a native Russian).

 It's fun to follow characters that I now know pretty well through different landscapes and genres. I feel like the preceding book in the series, Arija and the Burning City raised the bar on the series and this one meets it head-on, taking you into a place of comfort (the world machine) and turning everything inside out and sideways.

 Arija and Adal manage to stick together this time, but that's the only real sense of comfort you'll get. This is a twisty turny thrill ride and I can't wait for the next one!

Why I'm Networking, Before Publishing

There are many of us “aspiring writers.” Some dream of one day starting that dream project. Some don’t tell a soul what they’re up to. Some are convinced that they know what they’re doing. I’m a ways away from publishing. Editing takes time and concentration. Those two things don’t always exist in the same space. I’m making an attempt to do it all, be a mother and a writer. Some days are better than others. Currently, I’m piecing together chapter ten, out of twenty eight. When I’m not writing, or editing, or actively wrangling children, I read & review. A majority of what I’ve been reading has been independently published, or published through small press. I’ve made some pretty awesome connections, over the last couple of years! 📚REVIEW📚 Between Dawn and Dusk & The Fae King's Curse

Okay, before we dive into this review, let me just tell you, I was already a fan of Jamie Schlosser's new adult contemporary romances. They're sweet and spicy and I want to adopt all the characters, cook them supper, and let them know they're all loved. My sentiment is a bit different towards her fantasy romance is a bit different and I love it! I don't want to adopt them, but hanging out with them on the page has been absolutely amazing! So without further ado, here are my reviews for both Between Dusk and dawn: A Prequel and The Fae King's Curse.  Oh, wait! No, first I need to comment on these covers! I mean, just look at them. Between Dawn and Dusk is spectacular and I need it in my paperback collection ASAP. And then you get the crown again on The Fae King! The colors and everything tie together perfectly.
